”Painting as object”, is the description of the innovative approach Rufus Snoddy applies to his works. He calls them “Construction Paintings”.

With a graduate degree in kinetic sculpture and years of practical experience as a painter and assemblage artist, Rufus has mastered the fusion of these approaches to produce work that is truly unique.

“I love texture. Life would be very bland or even non-existent without it. The changing of the seasons, the never-ending variety of visual matter, colors, shapes , sounds and the life-long variation of sensual and psychic activities are to be celebrated.

I see my work as a celebration and expression of gratitude for having been given a chance to experience all of these things.”
